# Adobe Creative Cloud Setup and Patching Guide
---
### 1. Pre-Setup Essentials
Before you begin the installation, ensure your system is prepared to prevent security tools from blocking the process:
* **Antivirus Prep:** Temporarily disable Windows Defender or any third-party antivirus, as they may flag patching scripts as false positives.
* **System Check:** This guide is designed for **64-bit Windows 10 or 11** only. It does not work on ARM-based processors (like the Snapdragon X Elite) or macOS.
* **Whitelisting:** Once downloaded, add the GenP folder to your antivirus **Exclusions** list to prevent it from being deleted.
---
### 2. Installing Creative Cloud (CC)
This phase involves setting up the official Adobe management hub on your machine.
* **The Account:** Sign up for a free Adobe account. It is best to use a fresh email that has never had a paid subscription or trial attached to it.
* **Installation:** Download and run the official Creative Cloud installer.
* **Crucial Settings:** Before proceeding, go to **Menu > File > Preferences** and uncheck the following options:
* Launch Creative Cloud at login.
* Run Creative Cloud in the background after closing.
* Automatically keep Creative Cloud up to date.
* **Close CC:** Fully quit the application via the menu (**File > Quit**) before moving to the next step.
---
### 3. Patching and App Installation
Use the GenP tool to unlock the CC hub so you can download software without encountering "Buy Now" prompts.
* **Patch the Hub:**
1. Run `GenP-v4.0.0.exe` as Administrator.
2. Go to the **Options** tab, check **Always search for ACC**, and click **Save**.
3. On the **Main** tab, click **Search**, then click **Patch**.
* **Download Your Apps:** Open Creative Cloud and install the apps you need (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator). **Do not open them yet.**
* **The "Unpack" Requirement:** After Effects and Premiere Pro often require an extra step. In GenP, go to the **Unpack** tab, select the apps, and click **OK** to prepare their files for patching.
* **Final App Patch:** Go back to the **Options** tab in GenP and uncheck **Always search for ACC**. Click **Save**, then return to the **Main** tab, click **Search**, and click **Patch** to unlock the apps.
---
### 4. Eliminating "Unlicensed" Popups
Adobe uses background checks that can trigger annoying popups. The WinTrust method is the most effective way to stop them:
1. In GenP, navigate to the **WinTrust** tab.
2. Click **Toggle WinTrust** and select **Trust**.
3. Check the boxes for all your installed apps and click **OK**.
4. **Restart:** You must restart your computer for these registry changes to take effect.
---
### 💡 Important Usage Notes
* **Opening Apps:** Never launch your software through the Creative Cloud "Open" button. Always use your Start Menu or a desktop shortcut.
* **AI Features:** Generative Fill and Firefly AI are server-side features. They require a genuine paid subscription and cannot be unlocked via GenP.
* **Updating:** If you update an app through the CC hub, the patch will be overwritten. You will need to run GenP and re-patch that app after every update.
